The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of strategic leadership on change management within public organizations, mediated by knowledge management. In this study, an explanatory design and a quantitative approach were employed. A structured questionnaire survey was administered to 366 randomly selected respondents from public organizations in northwest Ethiopia. The reliability and validity of the scale items were rigorously assessed, and the data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling. The findings reveal the direct effects of strategic leadership and knowledge management on change management, with knowledge management partially mediating the relationship between strategic leadership and change management. The study addresses a significant gap in the literature by shedding light on how strategic leadership drives change in public organizations. Its interdisciplinary approach and examination of mediation offer original insights, paving the way for future studies on challenges within public service contexts. Recommendations underscore the importance of considering local context, embracing adaptive leadership, and integrating knowledge processes for effective change management in public organizations....
This article uses data from the 2015 China General Social Survey (CGSS) to explore in depth the relationship between the employment quality and subjective well-being of migrant workers. The research results show that: 1) The overall level of subjective well-being of Chinese migrant workers is relatively low, with an average score of only 3.71 points, indicating that migrant workers generally lack happiness in their work and life. 2) The employment quality of migrant workers has a significant impact on their subjective well-being. Specifically, reasonable remuneration, shorter working hours, a free working environment, and a sound social security system all contribute to enhancing the subjective well-being of migrant workers, enabling them to actively engage in their work and better enjoy life. 3) It is worth noting that there are significant gender differences in the impact of the employment quality of migrant workers on their subjective well-being. For male migrant workers, increasing their labor income and reducing working hours have a more significant effect on improving subjective well-being, while female migrant workers are more susceptible to the influence of basic medical insurance and other aspects on their subjective well-being....
This research explores the effects of exploiting IS on strategic management, decision-making, and organizational performance within the scenario of the UK Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. This nature of the industry as rather competitive and vulnerable to constant changes calls for quick and effective decision-making that IS provides. In this manner, IS can help with the strategic management, offer improved function management on an organizational level and improve supply chain and consumer. It reveals that IS is a significant tool in predicting market shifts, as well as a means of adapting to new laws to enhance sustainability and ethical benchmarks to foster organisational innovation and differentiation across FMCG firms. The study is concerned with understanding how and in what ways IS influences decision-making (research question 1) and organizational performance (research question 2) in the context of the UK FMCG industry. Following a positivist research philosophy, the research adopts a quantitative research approach, and statistical analysis guarantees the reliability and validity of the data collected. Collection of data from structured questionnaires and statistical analysis using linear regression models reveal that IS has a positive and vital impact on the improvement of decision making processes and other organizational performances. Logical assumptions suggest that IS enhances the decision-making process and the performance of organizations. While there are many concerns such as escalating costs and security risks, the proper incorporation of IS increases organizational objectives while emphasizing a data- driven approach to IS. The study provides a robust rationale for increasing the uptake of IS across industries in a bid to boost competitiveness and organisational performance. Future research should also embrace qualitative research designs to capture more richness and diversity of the topic and include more diverse geographical locations. Also, the study of the moderating role of the new technologies like AI and mechanism learning on the IS effectiveness enhances the development of the strategic management frameworks that could be helpful for different industries....
This review article explores the scientific literature on managing neurodiversity in workplaces, aiming to identify emerging research directions, gaps, and methods used. A systematic literature review in the hybrid form was implemented, combining bibliometric analysis and structured review. A review of selected social sciences publications from the SCOPUS database was conducted. The literature review reveals a lack of research linking neurodiversity with human capital management. Key findings indicate that neurodivergent individuals contribute unique talents contingent on appropriate management strategies. The research identified in the reviewed literature in the scope of managing neurodiversity in workplaces primarily focuses on four areas: the well-being of individuals with autism, inclusion strategies, employment challenges, and recruitment transformations. The review identified 22 articles addressing the following areas: mental health and quality of life, inclusive workplace designs, psychological perspectives, and human resource practice adaptations. Additional studies cover family relationships, emotional intelligence, and the need for new research approaches, predominantly using qualitative methods. The study concludes that more theories, methods, and contexts are needed to support neurodivergent employees. Future research should develop integrated solutions to enhance employment rates and reduce turnover, using theories like Self-Determination Theory and Universally Designed Synergistic Supervision. Integrating neurodiversity into sustainable human resource management practices can enhance innovation, employee satisfaction, and organizational reputation. Continuous policy improvement is crucial for long-term success and inclusivity....
The successful implementation of internationalisation of higher education will require the leadership to better understand internationalisation in context. The paper presentation emerges from an interpretive and descriptive study which generated qualitative data through systematic literature review and document analysis. Thematic analysis was deployed to identify emerging and dominating themes as a focus for the interpretation. The analysis confirmed that internationalisation has multiple definitions, rationales and strategies that are continuously being updated. Still, the paper argues that although the diversity in definitions, rationales and strategies exist among authors show disagreement and create some confusion, on the other hand internationalisation has influenced higher education landscape. The internationalisation trend reflects that the choice of internationalisation activity is determined by appropriateness and, according to resources and capacity. Hence, the higher education leadership should approach internationalisation activities based on consequences and appropriateness; henceforth, apropos of implementation of internationalisation of higher education be driven by the context of internationalisation activities rather than by prescribed implementation. Therefore, the paper argues that there are many internationalisation implementation attributes but the dominant to be considered are understanding internationalisation, clear purpose for internationalisation, commitment to internationalisation and the leadership for internationalisation....
